About Shu Kubo
Since opening his first exhibition to critical acclaim in 1977, kirié master Shu Kubo has pioneered a wholly original take on the form, one that uses mixed media – including various paints, fabrics, and natural materials – to enhance the impact of his work. Over the years, Kubo-sensei has brought kirié to every corner of the globe through international displays and workshops.
